OCU sweeps SAC baseball awards

Kyle Lacy, Chris Pike dubbed SAC players of the week

Kyle Lacy is hitting .383 with 10 RBIs on the season.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University teammates Kyle Lacy and Chris Pike were Sooner Athletic Conference baseball player and pitcher of the Week for March 10-16.
Lacy, a sophomore from Edmond, Okla., batted .727 with a double, triple and home run and a 1.273 slugging percentage in OCU's 3-2 week. He had six RBIs and scored nine runs.
Lacy is hitting .383 so far this season with 10 RBIs on four doubles and three home runs. Lacy has scored 18 runs and has stolen four bases this season.
Pike, a senior from Southampton, N.Y., followed up his perfect game from last week with a no-hitter in an 18-0 victory against Southwestern Christian at Dolese Park. Pike struck out 17 with one walk in seven innings and completed his latest gem using 85 pitches.
Pike is 4-1 on the season with an earned run average of 1.64 in 33 innings pitched. Pike leads the NAIA with 16.9 strikeouts per nine innings and is fourth with 62 total strikeouts.
The Stars (18-6) will return to action against Southern Nazarene at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cypert Athletic Complex.
