Oklahoma City University Athletics

JOPLIN – Oklahoma City lost twice and Friday to end its postseason in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament.
 
The Stars fell to Mid-America Christian, 8-4, and Nelson, 4-2.
 
MACU 8, OCU 4
 
Mid-America Christian led 4-0 after two innings but the Stars tied the game with three runs in the third and one in the fourth.
 
Brittain Brewer singled in a run to end the shutout and scored on an error. Aiden Van Rensum singled in a run to make it a one-run game.
 
Cooper Holtorf homered in the fourth to tie the game.
 
MACU scored three in the sixth and added an unearned run in the seventh for the final margin.
 
Bauer Brittain took the loss.
 
Nelson 4, OCU 2
 
The Stars took a 1-0 lead in the first inning on a home run by Aiden Van Rensum.
 
Nelson tied the game in the second and took a 4-1 lead in the fifth.
 
Eli Hill walked to force in a run in the sixth inning for the final margin.
 
OCU had seven hits, including two each by Trent Baker and Wyatt Pace.
 
Cayden Maxwell took the loss. Nick Anaya threw four scoreless innings of relief.
