OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City placed 27 student-athletes on the NAIA Spring Scholar Athletes list, the organization announced on Wednesday.
To qualify as an NAIA Scholar-Athlete, students must maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, appear on the eligibility certificate for their sport, and have attended their institution for at least one full year. This year, the list features an impressive number of student-athletes who have met these rigorous standards.
Eight softball players, seven women's track and field athletes, four men's golfers, four baseball players and four men's track and field athletes were included.
Making the list from softball are

Carlee Mollet,
Iliana Ashford,
Jacquelyn Purtell,
Kindalyn Miller,
Morgandee Sawatzky and
Tara Hoehner.
From women's track and field,
Emily Schneider,
Erika Pena,
Florencia Cabrera,
Isabelle Spiller,
Kamryn Boller,
Mattie Adams and
Tabytha Roy made the list.
Men's track and field athletes making the list are
Ayenew Devany and
Brendan Robeaux.
From the men's golf team,
Carter Ray,
Jack Newton,
Luke Woods and
Philipp Perzl earned the distinction.
Women's golf placed
Klaudie Karnikova and
Logan Allen on the list.
Baseball's
Gage Geiger,
Nick Anaya,
Tanner Ellis and
Will Ellis made the honor roll.
