OCU Seventh in Learfield Directors' Cup Standings

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City is seventh in the freshly released Learfield Directors' Cup NAIA Winter Standings.

The Learfield Directors' Cup, which measures the on-field success of college athletics programs, was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in the NAIA Championships. Universities are allowed to count their top 13 scores.

The Stars are the only Sooner Athletic Conference team in the top 50 of the standings with only the spring sports left to score.

OCU has 554 points with 85 points, 73 points gathered from competitive dance, 70 points from competitive cheer, 61.5 points each from women's wrestling and indoor women's track and field, 45.5 points from men's indoor track and field and 25 points from men's basketball. In the fall, OCU got 61.5 points from women's cross country, 46 from men's cross country and 25 from men's soccer. The Stars were 28th after the fall season.
