OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University placed two student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's Basketball Team, the organization announced on Tuesday.
 
James Cloud and Beau Tranter received the recognition for OCU.
 
The honor requires a 3.50 cumulative grade point average and a substantial contribution to the team's on-court success.
 
Cloud, a senior guard from Prosper, Texas, is a cell and microbiology major. He played in all 32 games.
 
Tranter, a junior guard from Melbourne, Australia, is an economics major. Tranter played in all 32 games, averaging 8.7 points per game.
 
Tranter and Cloud were two of four Sooner Athletic Conference men's basketball players included on the Academic All-District list.
