BARTLESVILLE – Oklahoma City's best season since 2019 came to an end in the first round of the NAIA Men's Basketball Championships, falling to Montana Tech 91-87 on Friday.

The Stars led by as many as nine points in the first six minutes, but the Orediggers found their footing and claimed the win.

Savaughn Smith has his best game of the season, scoring 22 points to go with eight rebounds.

Jackson Hopps added 15 while
Jonas Carlisle and
Brian Alexander added 14 apiece. Carlisle had eight rebounds.

The Stars ended the season with 21 wins and made the NAIA Tournament by winning the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament – both for the first time since 2019.
