This Week in OCU Baseball

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University baseball has a six-game schedule this week – split evenly with three on the road and three at Denney Crabaugh Field.
 
The Stars will first travel to Goodwell, Okla., to play the Aggies of Oklahoma Panhandle State University on Friday, March 6. Friday's doubleheader is scheduled to begin at noon CST with game two slated for 3 p.m. OCU and OPSU will conclude their Sooner Athletic Conference on Saturday, March 7, at 12 p.m. One week from Friday, the Stars will compete against the Mid-America Christian University Evangels at Jim Wade Stadium. Game one will be at 7 p.m. on Friday, March 13, with the last two games taking place on March 14 at 12:05 and 3 p.m. CST. 
 
OCU Notebook
Previously: Oklahoma City run-ruled the #12 ranked Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles on Tuesday, Feb. 24, with a score of 20-10. The Stars followed the big win against OKWU with an impressive series win against Wayland Baptist University, which entered SAC play undefeated before playing OCU. The Stars swept the first two games on Friday, Feb. 27, winning the doubleheader before dropping game three of the series, 10-2. Oklahoma City averaged just over eight runs per game in the three-game series against the Pioneers. 
 
Hitting: The Stars are hitting .273 as a team, which is .023 batting points higher than last week. Aiden Van Rensum earned SAC Player of the Week; the Stars' slugger amassed seven hits, four runs scored, and nine RBI last week. Eli Hill connected on his first home run of the 2026 season in game one against WBU. 
 
Pitching: OCU has a 7.74 team earned run average. Bauer Brittain and Dalton Campbell are tied for the team lead in wins with two each. The Stars' bullpen is starting to click– Campbell has an opponent batting average of .175, while Nick Anaya holds a .192, and Spencer Biggerstaff holds opponent hitters right at the Mendoza Line of .200 
 
On the Basepaths: OCU is 43 of 51 in stolen bases this season, led by Trent Baker, who is perfect on 14 successful swipes. Cooper Holtorf is right behind Baker with 13 stolen bags on 15 attempts. 
 
About Panhandle State: The Aggies are 7-10 this season with a 0-6 record in the SAC. Genesis Nunez leads the Aggies with 22 hits on the year and a .941 slugging percentage. OPSU's starting pitcher with the lowest ERA is Adam Hinojosa, with a 5.47. Hinojosa has yet to allow a home run in 2026. 

About Mid-America Christian: The Evangels are 14-5 overall and 5-1 in the SAC after sweeping Texas Wesleyan last weekend. MACU now owns a five-game winning streak. The Evangels are led by Nick Hill, who is hitting over .400 and owns an on-base plus slugging percentage of 1.409. The team has a .316 batting average while holding opposing hitters to a .219 batting average.
