OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City's competitive cheer team heads to the Thresher Invitational in North Newton, Kan., on Saturday.
 
The Stars are coming off a season-opening victory at the Coyote Classic, where they scored a 91.15.
 
Competition gets a little tougher this week with defending NAIA champion St. Ambrose, which is opening its season at this event.
 
The Stars finished runner-up to SAU in the Threshers Invitational last season, scoring a 93.23.
