Oklahoma City – Leighanne Eaton of Science & Arts and
Brynlee Alsip of Oklahoma City have been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Netting Pros Softball Players of the Week for their efforts over the past week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
Eaton claimed her second weekly offensive award of the year by pacing the Drovers to a 4-2 mark last week by going 8-of-18 at the plate for a batting average of .444 with five of those hits being for extra bases. Eaton had three doubles and a pair of home runs over the span while driving in eight runs and scoring five times herself as the Drovers claimed a pair of top 25 wins last week. Eaton also had a .944 slugging percentage and a .476 on-base percentage over the six games.

Alsip earned a 2-2 record in the circle last week for the Stars, with one of those victories coming over No. 1 in the country, Southern Oregon. Alsip tossed 23.1 innings last week with 14 strikeouts for a 4.20 strikeout per seven innings average while surrendering five earned runs. Alsip completed the week with a 1.20 WHIP and a 1.50 earned run average.
