Rayburn Hits Four Home Runs in Two OCU Wins

BRANSON – Analise Rayburn swatted four home runs and drove in 12 as Oklahoma City dominated Graceland and St. Mary for 18-0 and 9-3 wins in the NAIA Showcase on Friday.
 
Rayburn had three home runs, including a grand slam, while driving in nine runs in the Graceland win.
 
OCU 18, Graceland 0
The Stars had 20 hits in that game with Rayburn, Hadley Gibson and Tara Hoehner getting three each. Iliana Ashford, Gabby Moreno and Jacquelyn Purtell had two apiece.
 
Along with Rayburn's nine RBIs, Kaiden Spidell, Carlee Mollett and Gibson had two each. Ashford, Hoehner and Moreno had one each.
 
Kindalyn Miller claimed and win, teaming up with Morgandee Sawatzky for a two-hit shutout.
 
OCU 9, St Mary 3
Brynlee Alsip allowed three unearned runs in the top of the first, but the Stars' offense wouldn't let that stand.
 
OCU scored two in the first on a two-run home run by Rayburn and added five in the second on an RBI double by Mollett, a two-run single by Gibson, an intentional bases-loaded walk issued to Rayburn, and a bases-loaded walk to Miller.
 
Ashford drove in two more with a double in the third.
 
OCU had 10 hits, led by Hadley with three. Ashford and Rayburn had two each.
 
Alsip got the win and McKenna Snyder pitched two scoreless innings to close things out.
 
The Stars are back in action in Branson on Saturday, taking on Avila at 1:30 p.m. and Morningside at 3:30.
