OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City heads to the NAIA Showtime Classic in Branson, Mo., this weekend for four games on Friday and Saturday.
 
The Stars play Graceland at 2 p.m. and St. Mary at 4 p.m. on Friday. OCU plays Avila at 1:30 p.m. and Morningside at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Previously: Oklahoma City dropped two games at the NAIA Softball Invitational on Saturday, falling to No. 25 Evangel 3-2 and to Benedictine 1-0.
 
Pitcher of the Week: OCU's Brynlee Alsip earned her second Sooner Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors on Monday. Alsip earned a 2-2 record in the circle last week for the Stars, with one of those victories coming over No. 1 in the country, Southern Oregon. Alsip tossed 23.1 innings last week with 14 strikeouts for a 4.20 strikeout per seven innings average while surrendering five earned runs. Alsip completed the week with a 1.20 WHIP and a 1.50 earned run average.
 
Hitting: The Stars are hitting .306 as a team, led by Jessica Phares at .391. Analise Rayburn and Tara Hoehner have two home runs each and Rayburn leads the team with 12 RBIs.
 
On the Bases: OCU is 34 of 36 in stolen bases this season. Hadley Gibson leads the team with six thefts in as many attempts.
 
Pitching: The Stars enter the week 2.20 earned run average, paced by Brynlee Alsip's 1.05. She leads the team with 22 strikeouts.
 
About Graceland: Graceland beat Sterling and Hannibal LaGrange in Branson on Saturday to improve to 3-8. The Yellowjackets have a .228 batting average and 4.00 earned run average. Makenzie Leake leads the team with a .379 batting average and eight RBIs.
 
About St. Mary: The Spires are 3-5 after losing to Madonna and Aquinas in the St. Ambrose Tournament on Saturday. Kylie Vandervoort is batting .462 and Grace Ross bats .452 with eight RBIs. The team is hitting .281 with a 5.01 team ERA.
 
About Avila: Avila has lost three straight to drop to 5-6 on the season. AU has a team batting average of .308 and a team ERA of 3.26. Abi Beaman has a .375 batting average with eight RBIs.
 
About Morningside: OCU ended Morningside's season last year in the Opening Round. The Mustangs are 4-2 this season after beating Dakota State on Saturday. Morningside is batting .351 with a 2.46 team ERA. Paige Schuster is batting .500.
