Stars Drop Two in Shawnee

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma City dropped two games at the NAIA Softball Invitational on Saturday, falling to No. 25 Evangel 3-2 and to Benedictine 1-0.

The Stars scored both runs in the first inning on an RBI double by Analise Rayburn and an RBI triple by Kindalyn Miller.
 
Evangel took the lead with three runs (two unearned) in the third.
 
Miller had two of OCU's seven hits.
 
McKenna Snyder pitched three scoreless innings in relief.
 
Benedicine 1, OCU 0
 
Brynlee Alsip took the loss, allowing one run in 4.1 innings.
 
Snyder pitched 1.2 scoreless innings.
 
The Stars were held to three hits, including doubles by Iliana Ashford and Rayburn.
 
OCU plays in the NAIA Showtime Classic in Branson, Mo., next weekend.
