SHAWNEE – Oklahoma City scored a pair of victories at the NAIA Softball Invitational on Friday, beating Baker 4-3 in eight innings and run-ruling Friends, 16-6 in six innings.

Peyton Barrow broke up a shutout attempt in the fourth inning, tying the game at 2-2 with a two-run double.

Baker went ahead 3-2 in the top of the eighth after the international tiebreaker rule was implemented.

Analise Rayburn tied the game with an RBI double and
Hadley Gibson drew a bases-loaded walk for the win.

Six different Stars had one hit each.

Brynlee Alsip got the win, going eight innings and allowing two earned runs.

Gibson put OCU ahead with a two-run single in the first inning and
Iliana Ashford added an RBI single in the second for a 3-0 lead.

After falling behind 4-3, OCU took a 6-4 lead with an RBI ground out by
Carlee Mollet and a two-run home run by
Tara Hoehner.
Â
Gabby Moreno singled in a run to start a six-run fifth inning. Mollet added a two-run single, Hoehner singled home another and Ashford made it 11-4 with an RBI double.

Moreno added an RBI double,
Kaiden Spidell doubled in two runs and Ashford drew a bases-loaded walk for the final margin.

Moreno ended the game with three hits while Hoehner, Ashford and Mollet added two each.

Kindalyn Miller got the win in the circle.

The Stars play No. 25 Evangel at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, followed by a 5 p.m. game against Benedictine.
