OKLAHOMA CITY – Four Oklahoma City University men's golfers were named to the NAIA Men's Golf All-America team, the NAIA announced on Thursday.
Â
Tres Hill and
Christian Yanovitch were named first-team All-America while
Lorenzo Santinelli and
Michael Robson garnered second-team status.
Â
"These four guys embodied the culture we are creating at OCU," said Stars Head Coach
Blake Trimble. "They worked hard, they motivated others, and they were great leaders. Graduating two great leaders like Hill and Robson is tough, but knowing we have Yanovitch and Santinelli to take their place, OCU is in a great place moving forward. Proud of all of these guys for their work and dedication!"
Â
Hill and Robson were second-team All-Americans last season.
Â
Hill won three consecutive tournaments (Battle at Winter Creek, Texas Invitational and Kyle Blaser Invitational) and averaged 69.9 strokes per round. Yanovitch averaged 70.3 strokes and had a pair of top-three finishes.
Â
Robson averaged 71.3 strokes per round and had two top-three finishes this season, while Santonelli finished in the top three once and averaged 71.5 strokes.
