Blake Trimble joined OCU athletics as the new head golf coach prior to the 2023-24 season.
Since joining the Stars, Trimble has taken OCU to a runner-up finish at the NAIA Tournament in 2025 and was named West Region Coach of the Year.
He previously served as the head coach at Southwestern Christian University.
Prior to becoming the head coach at Southwestern Christian, Trimble spent time as an assistant golf coach at Crossing Christian School in Oklahoma city. In this role, Trimble helped with the middle school, junior varsity and varsity golf teams.Â
 In 2009 Trimble became a professional golfer where he competed nationwide in numerous pro tournaments including the Adams Tours and the Korn Ferry Tour. Â
 In the summer of 2007 Trimble worked for Golf Inc. as a golf instructor where he helped coach and teach junior golf clinics and helped run junior golf tournaments. Â
Trimble's Oklahoma City roots run deep, dating all the way back to the mid-2000s where he began his collegiate playing career at Southern Nazarene University. While at SNU Trimble picked up an Academic All-American award (2005), became SNU's Male Student Athlete of the Year (2006), and was a two-time golf All-American (2004-05, 2005-06).Â
After his playing career, Trimble continued his education and joined the SNU golf staff as a graduate assistant and remained on staff as an assistant coach from 2006-08 where he assisted with both men's and women's teams. Â
Trimble received a Bachelor of Business Administration with a distinction in Finance from Southern Nazarene University in 2006 before receiving a Masters of Business Administration in 2008. Â
