Baseball to host Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament

OKLAHOMA CITY - The 2024 Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament gets underway Friday May 3 and will run through Monday May 6 as Denney Crabaugh Field at Jim Wade Stadium will act as a host site for four teams alongside Science & Arts University being the other site.

The top eight teams from the 2024 SAC regular season advance to the conference's postseason championship for a four day, double-elimination tournament. The first pitch is scheduled for Friday, May 3 at 11 a.m.
 
Oklahoma City finished second in the SAC regular season standings as the Stars finished the season 32-15 overall and 17-7 in conference play while closing out the season with three straight series wins. 

No. 2 OCU will take on the No. 7 seed Southwestern Christian (27-21, 9-15 SAC) which will kick off tournament play at 11 am. 

Friday will have three games being played with the No. 4 seed Texas Wesleyan (27-18, 15-9 SAC) and will take on No. 6 seeded Southwestern Assemblies of God Lions (25-24, 11-13 SAC) which will start approximately 25 minutes after the completion of the first game.

The final game of the day one will be the elimination game in the losers bracket played at 6 p.m.
 
Two games will be played on both Saturday with a game at 1 o'clock on Sunday as well as a potential if necessary contest at 3:30. The championship game being played on Monday, May 6 at 3 p.m. with the site to be determined.
