SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - The Oklahoma City men's track and field team garnered five winners in the Sooner Athletic Conference men's track & field championships over the weekend at Glenn W. Black Stadium. 

The Stars took the top six spots in the 10,000 meters paced by Evert Silva with a top time of 30:50.38 grabbing first place by almost four seconds. Silva also secured his second win at the SAC Championships in the 1500 meters with a top time of 3:56.22.

The 4x800 relay team made up of Jacoby Nance, Kanyon Cobbs, Fares Maarouf and Tate Smithhart claimed first in the event coming in at a time of 8:19.54, surpassing the second place group from Wayland Baptist by 23 seconds. 

Ayenew Devany joined Silva as a winner in two events first coming in the 3000 meter steeplechase coming in 19 seconds before the second place finisher at a time of 9:34.01. Devany notched a winning of time of 15:47.54 in his second event title coming in the 5000 meter run. 

Oklahoma City finished with 174 team points one place behind the winner Texas Wesleyan who tallied 288 team points.
