MARIAN, Ind. – By the slimmest of margins, Oklahoma City University finished second in the men's 4x800 relay as a fight to the finish didn't go the Stars' way.
 
By 5/100ths of a second, OCU was runner-up in the event that saw the Stars get on the team scoreboard with a time of 7:30.19.
 
Evert Silva and Louise Cocking also pushed through to Friday's finals.
 
Silva, who is running in the 1500 final with Belkhalfi Hamza at 1:10 p.m., qualified on Thursday in the 800 meters at 1:52.04. Brendan Robeaux finished 17^th in the 800 at 1:54.33.
 
Cocking advanced in the 5000 meters, clocking a finish of 17:41. 20.
 
Ayenew Devany gets OCU's Friday started at 12:20 p.m. in the finals of the 3000 steeplechase.
