By 5/100ths of a second, OCU was runner-up in the event that saw the Stars get on the team scoreboard with a time of 7:30.19.

Louise Cocking also pushed through to Friday's finals.

Silva, who is running in the 1500 final with Belkhalfi Hamza at 1:10 p.m., qualified on Thursday in the 800 meters at 1:52.04.
