MARION, Ind. - The Oklahoma City men's track and field team took fifth overall at the 2024 NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships.
Evert Silva led the Stars with two victories as well as being apart of the win in the 4x800 relay. Silva was named the Championships Most Valuable Performer after notching 26 total points.
The senior won his first and the program's first outdoor 5000m title with a time of 14:31.06 meeting the NAIA A Standard in that event. Silva went on to garner a personal best in the 10,000 meter race with another NAIA A Standard accolade coming in at a time of 30:12.35.

Ayenew Devany set a personal best in the steeplechase prelims with a time of 9:11.31 before coming in 13th overall in the finals atÂ

Cumberlands (Ky.) won the 2024 NAIA Men's Outdoor Track & Field Championship Red Banner after a closely contested championship. The Patriots won by a margin of two points over runner-up Marian (Ind.).
