About the Stars 
  • Oklahoma City returns 22 players from last year's squad as the stars come off a 32-21 season while winning the Soner Athletic Conference tournament for the 14th time in school history.
  • OCU brings back four of its top five hitters from a season ago in Trent Kiraly, Reese Ratchford, Tristan Williams and Hunter Lenochan.
  • Kiraly posted a team-high .395 average leading the stars in home runs with 15 while smacking 62 RBIs.
  • After losing last year's NAIA pitcher of the year Eli Davis, the Stars will look to see who can replace the southpaw ace from a season ago.
  • Left hander Andrew Limbaugh returns to the mound after tossing the second most innings for Oklahoma City as the senior finished 2023 with a 6.18 era with 66 strikeouts in 71.1 innings pitched.

About the Generals 
  • The Generals come in 2024 after going 34-18 last season while falling in the Red River Athletic Conference tournament championship game to the University of Houston-Victoria 12-2.
  •  The past two seasons for LSU-A has seen strong success after winning 30 plus game in 2022 and 2023.
  •  LSU-Alexandria lost its two of its best hitters from a season ago however they do return two of its top five batters in Blaise Foote and Zach Mengarelli.
  • Foote posted a .388 average and a team-best .495 OBP%. For Mengarelli, he swung at a .323 clip while batting in 29 runs and walked 34 times
  • LSU-A also lost its top pitcher in Cameron Daigle who threw the most innings and had the best ERA for the Generals. Dominic Thibodeaux and Blaise Foote both come back and the next two most active pitchers from last season looking to bolster the Generals rotation.

Series History 
  • After Oklahoma City took the inaugural meeting in 2011, LSU-A has won the past three meetings against the Stars which came last year as the Generals opened up the season with a sweep over OCU (3-8, 10-15, 1-11)
