Dalton Reed from Oklahoma City University scooped up first-team College Sports Information Directors of America NAIA baseball academic all-American® acclaim.
CoSIDA has recognized 87 Oklahoma City student-athletes with academic all-American honors all-time. The Stars boast of 19 baseball student-athletes named academic all-Americans, including 2012 CoSIDA college-division baseball academic all-America of the year Chad Carman.
Reed, a senior infielder from Roff, Okla., has produced a 3.44 cumulative grade-point average studying criminal justice. Reed amassed a .417 batting average, 24 homers, 74 RBIs, 83 hits, 14 doubles and two triples last year. He took second-team all-American from the NAIA and American Baseball Coaches Association and first-team all-Sooner Athletic Conference in 2021.
For his career, Reed turned in a .389 average, 31 homers, 99 RBIs, 19 doubles, four triples, 110 hits and an .813 slugging percentage. Reed hauled in a conference gold glove award in 2020.

Denney Crabaugh notched career win No. 1,550 when
Fredric Walter hit a 13th-inning walk-off home run May 18 in the NAIA Championship Opening Round New Orleans Bracket. Crabaugh directed Oklahoma City to the 2005 national championship.
The Stars (36-19) ranked among the top five nationally as a team with a .611 slugging percentage (fourth), 2.018 homers per game (fourth) and 2.473 doubles a game (fifth). Oklahoma City advanced to the SAC Tournament championship game.
Oklahoma City student-athletes thrive both in competition and in the classroom. The Stars produced their best combined GPA of the past decade (3.332) in 2020-21. OCU extended its string of winning at least one national title to 28 years dating back to 1993-94 after taking the 2021 NAIA competitive cheerleading championship. OCU has won 70 national championships in all sports with three Directors' Cup titles (2016-17, '17-18 and '18-19).
CoSIDA began the distinguished academic all-America® program in 1952, and since then, has honored thousands of deserving student-athletes from numerous sports across all divisions with these elite academic all-America® scholar-athlete honors.
To be eligible for academic all-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director.
