Stars' Foster reels in SAC player of week

OCU owns four of five league player of week honorees this year

OKLAHOMA CITY – Garrett Foster from Oklahoma City University garnered Sooner Athletic Conference baseball player of the week for the week of Feb. 27-March 5.
Foster, a junior from Ardmore, Okla., gave the Stars their fourth SAC player of the week honoree in five weeks.
On the week, Foster boasted of a .609 batting average and a .913 slugging percentage. Foster had 14 hits in 23 at-bats with 12 runs scored, four doubles one home run, five RBIs and two stolen bases. OCU went 4-1 on the week to improve to 20-4 on the season.
Foster has hit .385 with 13 doubles, two triples, four homers, 23 RBIs this year. He has a .703 slugging percentage and .402 on-base percentage. Foster ranks second in doubles and 10th in total bases (64) in the NAIA.
