Stars' Cook reels in SAC player of week

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Dustin Cook collected the Sooner Athletic Conference baseball pitcher of the week for Feb. 9-15.
Cook, a junior right-hander from Huffman, Texas, allowed just one run while scattering four hits and striking out nine batters in a complete-game 4-1 win over No. 12 Bellevue (Neb.).
He has started two games this season and is 2-0. Cook has given up seven hits, one run, two walks and struck out 16 in 13 innings pitched.
The Stars, ranked 16th in the NAIA, host MidAmerica Nazarene (Kan.) 3 p.m. Friday at Jim Wade Stadium. To watch the game, click here.
