OCU hosts Mid-America Christian in SAC Tournament

SAC Tournament features eight teams with matches played on campus sites

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University squares off with Mid-America Christian at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Sooner Athletic Conference volleyball tournament quarterfinals at Abe Lemons Arena.
The SAC Tournament will be at campus sites with the highest seed hosting with the semifinals set for Wednesday. The semifinal winners will face each other Saturday, Nov. 14 for the title.
Oklahoma City (19-7) beat Mid-America Christian (15-12) on the road in three sets Sept. 17. The Stars prevailed Oct. 15 in five sets at home. Follow the match Saturday via live stats and video.
Tori Leisure, a senior from Haslet, Texas, tops OCU with 2.83 kills a set and a .383 hitting percentage, which ranks sixth in the NAIA. Heather Watson, a senior from Edmond, Okla., has been four-time SAC setter of the week. Watson posts 7.10 assists and 0.33 aces per set.
Top-seeded Wayland Baptist (Texas) is the defending SAC Tournament champion. OCU captured the 2010 SAC Tournament. The SAC Tournament champion advances into the NAIA Championship Opening Round on Nov. 21.
