OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City starts a busy week of home volleyball matches on Tuesday with Southwestern Christian visits for a 6 p.m. Sooner Athletic Conference contest.
 
OCU also hosts Central Christian at 6 p.m. on Friday and Langston at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
 
The Stars are having their best start in program history at 8-0 after getting 3-1 SAC wins last weekend at John Brown and College of the Ozarks – two sites where OCU came up 0-2 last season.
 
OCU has overcome some tough injuries early to get to that undefeated record.
 
Coming into the week, Kaylie Marshall averaged four kills per set, followed by Grace Smallwood at 3.67 and Kate Townsend at 3.07. Natalie Adams averages 10.13 assists per game with Rylie Steward at 8.2.
 
At the service line, OCU is averaging more than two aces per set. Kate Cleofe leads the team with 12 while Townsend and Steward have 10 each.
 
Cleofe averaged 3.87 digs per set to lead the back row defense. Up front, Amber Jones has 19 blocks to pace the team.
 
SCU is 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the SAC after losses at Ozarks and John Brown over the weekend. Emery Hulme averages 2.5 kills per set.
 
Central Christian comes in at 0-6 overall and 0-2 in the league after losses at Wayland Baptist and Oklahoma Panhandle State last weekend. Hannah Stewart averages 1.53 kills per set.
 
Langston also went 0-2 against Panhandle and WBU last weekend and stands at 1-2 overall and 0-2 in the SAC. Ayanna Moore averages 2.92 kills per set to lead the Lions.
