OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City moved to 10-0 on the season, improving on their school-record best start, with a 3-0 win over Central Christian on Friday.

The Stars won 25-14, 25-13 and 25-12 to achieve their first 10-game winning streak since the 2019 team spun off 33 consecutive victories.

Amber Jones led the Stars with 13 kills and
Kacie Townsend added 10.
Natalie Adams had 17 assists to go with
Rylie Steward's 14. Adams had five aces and
Joeci Hunt had three.

Townsend led the defense with 11 digs for a double-double and Jones had a pair of blocks.

OCU trailed early but used an 8-1 run that included two kills by Jones. The Stars led by as many as 12 in the set before Townsend ended it on a kill.

The Stars similarly used a 10-1 run in the second set to pull away to a 13-5 lead. Townsend had three kills and Hunt had two aces in that spree. Steward's set-clinching kill matched the biggest scoring advantage for the set at 12.

OCU rallied from down 4-0 to take a 10-9 lead and finished the match with 11 consecutive points. Jones had three kills in the final run, including match point.

The Stars are back in action on Saturday, hosting Langston at 1 p.m.
