OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City completed a perfect week to move to 11-0 on the season and 5-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference after Saturday's 3-0 win over Langston.

The Stars extended their school-record start, winning 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.

Amber Jones had 13 kills and
Bailey Lowder tacked on 11 while
Rylie Steward and
Natalie Adams were posting 18 and 16 assists, respectively. OCU served up 14 aces, led by
Kacie Townsend with four and
Kate Cleofe and Jones with three each.

Kacie Townsend led with 20 digs, followed by
Joeci Hunt with 12 and Cleofe with 11.

The Stars used a 7-2 run in the first set to break open a 10-10 score. Jones had two kills in the run. OCU ended the set on a kill by Steward.

Jones had a kill and two aces in a 7-0 run that established a 10-3 lead for OCU in the second set. Lowder would end that set with a kill.

OCU opened the third set with a 5-0 run, fueled by three Jones kills. The Stars led the set by as many as 10 points, but Langston cut the lead to 21-19. Townsend led the Stars on a match-sealing 4-0 run with a kill and two aces.

The win keeps the Stars atop the Sooner Athletic Conference standings and sets up a showdown on Friday when OCU hosts the league's only other conference unbeaten, Nelson, at 6 p.m.
