OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University's Landon Camp was named Sooner Athletic Conference baseball player of the week for April 6-12.
Camp, a senior second baseman from Edmond, Okla., batted .417 and hit two home runs to capture the career home run record at OCU. He slugged 1.167 for the week, scored four runs, drove in eight and had a double and a triple in the Stars' 2-1 week.
Camp is hitting .343 with 14 homers and 63 RBIs this year. He has 57 homers, two more than previous record holder Dave Marlett.
OCU plays at 2 p.m. Thursday against USAO in Chickasha, Okla.
