OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University moved to 7-0 with a 3-1 win over Missouri Baptist and a win 10-3 over York (Neb.) on Saturday at Jim Wade Stadium.

The Stars, ranked second in the NAIA by Collegiate Baseball, swept a three-game series from No. 21 Missouri Baptist.

Against Missouri Baptist, Kirk Walker and Brent Weaver provided all four of OCU's hits. Walker, a sophomore from Bakersfield, Calif., went 3-for-3 and scored the tying run in the fourth inning after legging out an infield hit.

Walker reached home on a wild pitch. Jason Machado drew a hit by pitch with the bases full, then B.J. Wheeler picked up a bases-loaded walk as the Stars erased a 1-0 first-inning deficit.

Justin Harper went to 2-0 with 5.1 innings of work. Zac Coplon worked out of a sixth-inning jam when Missouri Baptist had two runners on, getting a 5-4-3 double play, to earn a save.

Against York, OCU erupted for eight runs in the second as Machado and Weaver nailed homers. Machado sparked the Stars with a lead-off solo blast to left, then Walker had an RBI single. Chad Carman chipped in a two-run base hit.

Sammy Lee drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, then Weaver smacked a three-run shot to left.

David Odquist struck out four in five innings for his first win of the year. Tristan Bugenis and Brad Riddle shut York down the rest of the way.

Carman went 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Machado was 2-for-2 with two runs driven in.

The Stars face Mid-America Christian at 2 p.m. Tuesday on the road.
