Kody Kaiser?s sacrifice fly in the sixth inning gave Oklahoma City University a 3-2 victory over USAO on Friday at Bill Smith Ballpark.
Justin Funk rounded the bases on Kaiser?s fly ball to left field. Funk singled up the middle with one out in the sixth.
The Stars, ranked second in NAIA baseball, moved to 25-5, 4-0 in the Sooner Athletic Conference. USAO fell to 13-11-1, 2-2.
OCU had a two-run second inning.
Drew McAdoo scored on a throwing error by the pitcher, then
Patrick Norris drove in a run with a base hit to right.
Funk, a senior second baseman from Enid, Okla., went 2-for-4 and scored twice.
Phil Bartleski improved to 5-0 on the year with the win. Bartleski threw seven innings and allowed both USAO runs on three hits and four walks. He had three strikeouts.
The Stars face USAO in a 2 p.m. doubleheader Saturday at Jim Wade Stadium.
