OKLAHOMA CITY ? The Oklahoma City University women?s soccer team collected its third tie of the season this afternoon, facing Southwestern Oklahoma State in a 1-1 contest. The Stars are now 4-1-3 on the year and have not experienced a loss since their season opener.
Whitney Jessee scored the tying goal off a header near the 79th minute of the game. She connected off
Ashley Mise?s free kick that came from mid-field.
SWOSU (3-2-2) scored near the 19th minute to claim an early 1-0 lead.
Carrie Dumbauld?s free kick from 30 yards sailed near the top of the Stars goal and fell into the net.
OCU outshot the Bulldogs, 12-8.

Whitney Ward each claimed three shots apiece to lead the Stars. SWOSU claimed only one shot in the first half, which led to the squad?s early goal.
The Stars have 11 days off until their next contest. They travel to Shawnee, Okla., for a rematch against St. Gregory?s at 2 p.m. OCU defeated the Cavaliers last week, 5-3.
