TOPEKA, Kan. – Oklahoma City placed fifth in the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships on Saturday.

The Stars scored 89.30 points in their final routine to finish well above the remainder of the 12-team field.

St. Ambrose won the national title at 93.37, followed by Midland at 93.10, Viterbo at 93.04, Grand View at 90.01 and OCU.

"I'm beyond proud of this team and their performances this weekend," said OCU Head Coach
Tasha Hinex. "We took everything that was given to us and adjusted as needed. It was a positive experience for all, and it was great to see all the teams for cheer and dance supporting each other."

Next up for the Stars is the NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach, April 8-11.
