OCU Posts Second-Best Score in Prelims

TOPEKA – Oklahoma City had the second-best score of the preliminary round at the NAIA Competitive Cheerleading National Championships on Friday.
 
Defending national champion St. Ambrose had a better score than OCU for the first time this season but the Stars posted an impressive 92.92.
 
The Stars, champions of the American Midwest Conference, will be the 14th of 15 teams to take the floor in the finals on Saturday, followed by SAU. The Stars are scheduled to perform at 12:10 p.m. with the results to be announced at 1 p.m.
 
Friday's score was OCU's fourth 90-plus score of the season.
