LANGSTON – Oklahoma City extended its winning streak to 18 games with a Sooner Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep at Langston on Wednesday, 23-3 and 21-4.

OCU 23, LU 3
The Stars used a 12-run third inning to put things far out of reach.
 
OCU had 25 hits in the game, including four each by Hadley Gibson and Gabby Moreno. Analise Rayburn, Jessica Phares, Iliana Ashford and Kaiden Spidell had three hits each and Peyton Barrow and Tara Hoehner had two apiece.
 
Phares, Hoehner and Gibson each had home runs.

OCU had 23 hits, including five home runs. Peyton Barrow had two home runs, including a grand slam, while Phares, Hoehner and Moreno added one each,
 
Hoehner had four hits, Rayburn, Barrow, Carlee Mollett and Moreno had three each and Gibson and Phares had two each.
 
Morgandee Sawatzky got the win in the circle.
 
Next up for the Stars is a four-game set at Nelson, including a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday and a noon doubleheader on Saturday.
