Rayburn Named Academic All-America Team Member of the Year

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City's Analise Rayburn was named College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Softball Team Member of the Year and was joined on the first-team by teammate Tara Hoehner.

Academic All-America is a selection made by members of College Sports Communicators and each voter also sends three of their selections forward for Team Member of the Year. Of those, the one player with the most votes is named Team Member of the Year.

Rayburn this season became the first player in NAIA history to record consecutive 100-RBI seasons. She batted .429 with a NAIA-best 26 home runs and 101 RBIs. Also a two-time Sooner Athletic Conference Player of the Year, Rayburn had 28 home runs and 102 RBIs last season. Starting all 59 games for the Stars in 2026, Rayburn had 182 at-bats this season, scored 74 runs on 78 hits with 23 doubles, two triples, and 26 home runs. She was stellar in situational hitting this season as well, driving in 31 runs with two outs. Her biggest game of the season came against Graceland (Iowa), where she hit three home runs for nine RBIs.

Hoehner earned first-team status after leading the Stars with a .473 batting average with 18 home runs (sixth in the NAIA) and 78 RBIs (fifth in the NAIA).

Rayburn and Hoehner are the fifth and sixth OCU Softball Academic All-Americans and the first two since 2023, joining Lexi Duff (twice), Kennedy Jackson (three times), Baileigh Loux (twice) and Sarah Fisher.

The Team Members of the Year from other Divisions were Texas Tech University's NiJaree Canady, Rylee Lemos from the University of Central Oklahoma, and Virginia Wesleyan University's Emma Adams.
