OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Cheer and Dance teams head to Topeka for the NAIA Competitive Cheer and Dance National Championships this weekend.

The OCU cheer squad begins the competition with its preliminary round as the final team on the floor of Friday's 4 p.m. session.

The dance team takes the floor in the fifth spot in the 7 p.m. session on Friday.

The championship round is Saturday at 10 a.m. for cheer and at 2:30 p.m. for dance.

All sessions are broadcast for free on Urban Edge Network.

The cheer team advanced as champions of the American Midwest Conference with a score of 95.94.

The Stars are joined in the cheer competition by Taylor, Xavier, Missouri Valley, Madonna, Cumberlands, Northwestern (Iowa), St. Mary, St. Ambrose, Indiana Wesleyan, Tennessee-Southern, Lourdes, Dickinson State, Baker and Florida Memorial.

OCU Dance advanced as an at-large selection from the AMC. They will compete against Aquinas, Grand View, St. Ambrose, Bethel, Hope International, Midland, Baker, Viterbo, Doane, Loyola and Concordia (Neb.).
