OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City Rowin gets into the spring schedule at the Heart of Texas Regatta on Saturday and Sunday.
 
OCU has 19 boats entered in nine events.

Previously: Oklahoma City performed well against some of the toughest competition in collegiate rowing in November at the Princeton Chase. The men's 4X crew of Ayden Ressler, Josef Fruehwirth, Pavle Glisic and Dominykas Motiejunas placed second behind Colgate at 15:08.482. OCU had two boats in the top nine of the Men's 2-. Ethan Romburgh and Keaton Knopp took sixth at 16:59.150. Ilija Panic and Vojin Kovacevic were ninth at 17:48.711. The OCU entries were behind only Princeton and Columbia. Lucy Oney, competing in the women's single scull placed fourth at 20:58.934. Michelle Guzman and Alexis Fredrickson were seventh in the women's 2x at 20:58.662. Caitlyn Koekemoer, Ilija Panic, Steven Gwartney, Keaton Knopp, Ethan Romburgh, Ayden Ressler, Vojin Kovacevic, Dominykas Motiejunas and Nick Burks placed 32nd in the prestigious men's eight with coxswain in 13:50.806.
 
About the Field: Several rowing clubs from Oklahoma and Texas and as far away as Seattle are in the events. Baylor, Oklahoma State, Rice, Texas, Texas A&M and TCU are among the college entrants.
 
The Venue: The event is at Lady Bird Lake in Austin.
