OKLAHOMA CITY – Sixteen Oklahoma City University rowers compete in eight events this weekend at the Dad Vail Regatta, hosted by Thomas Jefferson University on the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, New Jersey.
 
The Jefferson Dad Vail Regatta is the largest collegiate regatta in the United States, with over 100 colleges and Universities from the U.S. and Canada.

Previously:  Oklahoma City claimed four victories and seven other top-three finishes at the Knecht Cup on April 12. Lucy Oney had a great day, winning the women's single in 10:11.03 and combining with Michelle Guzman, Alexis Fredrickson and Amelia Castor for first in the women's varsity quad in 8:21.92. Pavle Glisic won the men's single in 9:00 and Santiago Arias was third at 9:36.28. Keaton Knopp, Vojin Kovacevic, Josef Fruehwirth, Nick Burks and coxswain Andres Parraga won the men's varsity four petite in 7:43.50. Guzman and Fredrickson were second in the women's varsity pair in 8:22.23. Ayden Ressler and Dominykas Motiejunas were second in the men's double at 7:47.98 with Kovacevic and Steven Gwartney in third at 8:18.70. Ilija Panic and Ethan Romburgh placed second in the men's varsity pair in 8:14.09, followed by Kovacevic and Fruehwirth in third at 8:22.23. Ressler, Gwartney, Kovacevic and Moteijunas were second in the men's varsity quad in 6:49.73.
 
OCU at Dad Vail in 2025:  Ayden Ressler and Dominykas Motiejunas claimed a national championship for Oklahoma City University rowing last yea at the Dad Vail Regatta. Ressler and Moteijunas won the men's double, taking the gold medal by covering the 2000 meters in 6:53.143. The pair highlighted a strong showing by the Stars. Talon Denton and Andres Parraga were 16th in that event at 9:08.254. Lucy Oney placed second in the women's single scull in 8:45.53 to lead the women's team. OCU's freshman/novice coxed four squad of Alexis Fredrickson, Amelia Castor, Annabella Osunkwo, Makayla Munoz and Caitlyn Koekemoer was 13th at 8:57.800. Cameron Knopp and Steven Gwartney earned the silver medal in the men's pair, finishing the course in 7:43.113. The men's quad placed third as Joseph Fruehwirth, Jack Fruehwirth, Nick Burks and Santiago Arias crossed in 6:45.772. Keaton Knopp , Ethan Romburgh, Vojin Kovacevic, Pavle Glisic and Koekemoer as coxswain, the OCU's men's four was fifth at 6:45.231.
