OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City plays finishes up the regular season this week with games at College of the Ozarks on Thursday and John Brown on Saturday.
 
The Stars play the Bobcats at 8 p.m. and the Golden Eagles at 4 p.m.

Finishing Up: The Stars have clinched a spot in the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament, which OCU hosts next week. Oklahoma City is 17-9 overall and 14-6 in the SAC. That conference record has the Stars in a three-way tie for third with Texas Wesleyan and Wayland Baptist.
 
Previously: Oklahoma City celebrated Senior Day with a 74-58 victory over Oklahoma Panhandle State on Saturday. Jonas Carlisle led the Stars with 18 points, 15 rebounds, six assists and four steals. Alphonse Muteba added 14 points and eight rebounds, Hykeem Hancock scored a dozen and Jackson Hopps added 10.
 
Honors: Jonas Carlisle earned his first Sooner Athletic Conference award, taking Defensive Player of the Week honors on Monday. Carlisle helped the Stars to a 2-0 record last week with 16 defensive rebounds, four steals, and four blocks during the week. In a win over Wayland Baptist, Carlisle grabbed six defensive caroms, with a block. In a win over Panhandle State, Carlisle snagged 10 defensive boards, with four steals and three blocks. Carlisle also finished the week by averaging 17.5 points per game.
 
Stars on the Road: OCU is 6-4 on the road this season but has lost its last three away from home. Jonas Carlisle averages 19.7 points and Brian Alexander gets 16.2 points per road game.
 
Our Best so Far: Brian Alexander's 29 points at Mid-America Christian stand as the season high for OCU this season. Jonas Carlise's 15 rebounds against OPSU on Saturday and his nine assists against USAO earlier this month are also season highs.
 
Scoring: Jonas Carlisle leads the team with 17.6 points per game and Brian Alexander averages 15.2. Seven Stars shoot better than 80 percent from the free-throw line this season.
 
Defense: Brian Alexander (39) and Jonas Carlisle (36) lead the team in steals this season. Alphonse Muteba has blocked 35 shots this season.
 
OCU vs. Ozarks: Oklahoma City bounced back for a 94-80 win over the College of the Ozarks in December. Alphonse Muteba led the Stars with his best game of the season, scoring 25 points to go with 10 rebounds. Brian Alexander added 21 points and Carlisle came up with 15 points, seven rebounds and eight assists. Muteba blocked four shots and Jonas Carlisle added three steals. Andrew Dalton had 22 points for the Bobcats and Garrett Snyder added 20.
 
Check-in on the Bobcats: College of the Ozarks is 8-18 overall and 5-15 in the SAC, having lost its last eight games. Snyder averages 15.3 points per game.
 
OCU vs. John Brown: John Brown rallied to hand Oklahoma City its first Sooner Athletic Conference loss of the season in December, 87-78. The Golden Eagles shot 54 percent from the field in the second half to get the win. Brian Alexander and Jonas Carlisle had 19 points each and Hykeem Hancock sank four three-pointers on his way to a 14-point night off the bench. Alexander had six assists. Carlisle led the team with seven rebounds. Beau Tranter contributed four steals. Donovan Lovelace had 19 points and nine rebounds to pace JBU.
 
 
Scouting the Golden Eagles: John Brown is 10-16 overall and 7-13 in the league. Trey Oetting leads JBU with 16.4 points per game.
