OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City put an end to a two-game slide and moved into a tie for fourth with a 79-73 win over Wayland Baptist on Thursday.

OCU got double-doubles from two players and
Brian Alexander led the scoring effort with 20 points.
Jonas Carlisle had 17 points and 11 rebounds, while
Jackson Hopps added 15 points and 10 rebounds.
Alphonse Muteba had 12 points before fouling out.

Wayland Baptist had a four-point lead near the middle of the first half, but the Stars finished the half on a 24-9 run to take a 41-30 halftime lead.

The Pioneers got as close as three points with under a minute to go, but OCU was up to the task.

"We made enough plays and made enough shots," said OCU Head Coach
Sam Kohnke. "That was a good team and we got a good team win."
