OKLAHOMA CITY – Alejandro Gallardo of John Brown and Alexis Bertrand of Oklahoma City have been named this week's Sooner Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Players of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday morning.
 
Gallardo helped the Golden Eagles to a 1-0-1 record last week with three goals and three assists, including an assist on the game-tying goal in a 3-3 draw against No. 5 Oklahoma Wesleyan. Gallardo added a brace and a pair of assists in a 7-1 victory over Hesston. Gallardo finished the week with seven shots and four shots on goal for a .571 shot on goal percentage.
 
Other Nominees - Matija Malenovic, Science and Arts, Otavio Avila, Southwestern Christian, Ayoup Bader, Oklahoma Panhandle State, Bernardo Duarte, Oklahoma City, Francisco Nava, Nelson (Texas), and Jamol Williams, Wayland Baptist (TX).
 
Bertrand had a pair of clean sheets to lead the Stars to a 2-1 record last week as he had nine saves over the three-match stretch. Bertrand's only goal was allowed on a penalty kick in a 1-0 loss to No. 15 Baker.
