OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City competes Saturday at the 918 Open in Bartlesville, taking on some of the top teams in the region.
 
The action begins at the Broken Arrow Event Center at 8 a.m.

Stars in Action: OCU has 13 athletes wrestling this weekend. Hayden Wright wrestles at 125, Kaden Wallace and Jace Province at 141, Dax Lopez and Kolby Depron at 149, Jake Moon and Mercer Ashley at 157, Hayden Brown and Wes Madden at 164, Alex Wilson at 174, Bryce Milster and Cole Olguin at 184, and Jonathan Chiaffitelli at 197.
 
New Rankings: The Stars took a one-slot drop to No. 6 in the NAIA poll released on Thursday. Individually, Cash Donnell is 11th and Hayden Wright ranks 15th at 125. Kaden Fetterolf is fifth and Kolby Depron is 19th at 149. John Wiley is third and Jake Moon is 10th at 157. In 165, Jordan Lomeli is sixth and Hayden Brown is 12th. Tate Picklo is second and Alex Wilson is 21st at 174. Cole Olguin and Bryce Milster are 17th and 18th, respectively, in the 184-pound class.
 
Previously: Oklahoma City University won five titles and placed 10 other wrestlers at the Southeastern Open last Saturday. Cash Donnell (125), Kaden Fetterolf (149), Jordan Lomeli (165), Tate Picklo (174) and Cole Olguin (184) captured championships in their weight class. Kaden Wallace (141), Alex Wilson (174) and Bryce Milster (184) were runners-up. Hayden Wright (125), Jace Province (141), Jake Moon (157) and Jonathan Chiaffitelli (197) were third. Kolby Depron (149) and Wes Madden (165) were fourth and Dax Lopez (149) was fifth.
 
The 918 Field: Thirty-nine teams are registered for the 918 Open. Along with No. 6 OCU, the NAIA field includes No. 18 St. Mary, No. 20 Friends, No. 25 Baker and Top 25 poll vote-getters Oklahoma Wesleyan and St. Thomas. Also in the field are NCAA Division II No. 7 Central Oklahoma and vote-getter Ouachita Baptist. Sooner Athletic Conference members Central Baptist, Central Christian and Texas Wesleyan are also competing.
