Stars Finish Head of the Oklahoma with Six Wins

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City finished racing at the Head of the Oklahoma on Sunday, winning its lone event – the men's coxed quad.

The victory brought OCU's win total to six events

In Sunday's race, Andres Parraga, Nick Burks, Dominykas Motiejunas, Steven Gwartney and Cameron Knopp finished in 15:25. To beat TCU and Kansas State.

"I was very proud of how the team raced," said OCU Head Coach Bryan Volpenhein. "They left all they had on the water and performed well across multiple events. Mostly, I was impressed with how they handled themselves this weekend. They were professional in their approach while still being loose and having fun. I'm especially proud of the women's team. They had a tough year last year, but they outperformed expectations this weekend. The women's 2x got a silver with just over a year of rowing experience, and in the women's coxed four, they held their own against some very tough competition from the OU women's team!"
