YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Oklahoma City University competitive dance team made its way to Ypsilanti, MI, for its 11th straight NAIA National Championship appearance.
After the preliminary round, the Stars were sitting in fifth place with a first-round score of 86.23. On the final day of the Championship, despite improving its score from day one the Stars recorded an 88.40, which gave them an overall score of 87.86 giving them their fifth place finish.
Ten of the 12 teams competing in the championship this season also were in the 2023 event while along with Oklahoma City, Aquinas (Mich.), Baker (Kan.), Grand View (Iowa), Midland (Neb.) and St. Ambrose (Iowa) have qualified for the championship each season the NAIA has hosted the competition.
OCU will compete once more this season Apr. 10-13 in the NDA Nationals in Daytona Beach, Fla.
