  • OCU outscored its opponents 27-0 through the first three games before earning a win against Benedictine 8-5 in its last game of the weekend.
  • Through the first weekend of the season, the Stars have five batters hitting .400 or better as freshman Illiana Ashford, graduate senior Baileigh Loux, and junior Emersen Heron all carry four-game hitting streaks into Tuesday's contest.
  • Returning third baseman, Rally Radacy finished the SCS invitational going 7-for-13 at the plate drawing multiple base hits in three of the games while starting the season off hot by going 3-for-4 in game one against Missouri Baptist which included an RBI and scoring three times.
  • Senior Kamryn Garvie picked up five RBIs which ties Heron for the team lead while launching the only Stars home run in the final game against Benedictine.
  • As for the pitching, senior Shelbey Cornelson makes her return to the circle as one of the top arms in all of the NAIA. Cornelson was handed the ball in the season opener where she allowed just one hit in the complete game shutout over Missouri Baptist.
  • Junior Emersen Heron also made her impact on the pitching side of things by getting the start against Saint Mary where she shut out the Spires in five innings of work allowing just three hits and striking out three.
