NAIA Championship Opening Round set for Yukon

OCU faces Texas A&M-San Antonio at 5 p.m. Monday at Yukon High School

YUKON, Okla. – The NAIA Softball Championship Opening Round Oklahoma City Bracket hosted by Oklahoma City University will shift venues to Yukon High School on Monday. 

Midland (Neb.) meets Mount Mercy (Iowa) at 2 p.m., then fifth-ranked Oklahoma City takes on Texas A&M-San Antonio at 5 p.m. Monday at Yukon High School. The tournament was rearranged after rain fell in the area over the weekend. 

Ann Lacy Stadium on the OCU campus is expected to be the site for the tournament Tuesday. Game times have been moved back each day. The championship game is set for 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ann Lacy Stadium.

The NAIA Championship Opening Round includes a 40-team field with the champions from each of the 10 Opening Round tournaments around the nation will meet in the NAIA Softball World Series on May 25-31 in Columbus, Ga.
