ATCHISON, Kan - Oklahoma City University's cheer squad placed first in the Benedictine Challenge with a 20-point advantage over second-place Benedictine (Kan.).
The Stars earned 91.53 points overall after posting scores of 93.60, 91.40, and 91.10. Benedictine College (Kan.) finished with a score of 71.60.
The 91.53 score is OCU's best of the season. Sunday's win is the Stars' third first-place finish, to go with two second-place finishes and one third-place showing.
The Stars next head to the NAIA qualifying championships on Feb. 25 at Langston University. The NAIA National Cheer Championships will be held in Ypsilanti, Mich., on March 10-11.
