BETHANY, OKLA. - The OCU women's cross country team earned a second place finish in the Sooner Athletic Conference Championships at Eldon Lyon Park on Saturday.
The Stars came in second behind the SAC winner Texas Wesleyan who ran the 6k in an average time of 23:46. Oklahoma City rounded out the race with a time of 23:58 as its eight year winning streak comes to an end.
OCU had two of its runner finish in the top 10 as Ginger Macinnis-Pierce, a junior from Oklahoma City led the way as the top finisher for OCU with her best time in a 6k race this fall as Macinnis-Pierce finished with a time of 23:10.00.
Also finishing in the top 10 for Oklahoma City was graduate student from Pauls Valley, Oklahoma Cailen Jolley finishing with a time of 23:39.10 with an average mile of 6:20.5.
