STILLWATER – Oklahoma City women's cross country finished 16
th at the Oklahoma State Cowboy Jamboree on Friday, taking on a field of NCAA Division I championship contenders.

OCU finished with 430 points. Top-ranked Brigham Young won the meet with 34 points, followed by No. 13 Oklahoma State at 57 and third-ranked New Mexico at 65.

"The goal for today was to be proactive and engaged," said OCU Coach
Andrew Leahey. "This is one of the toughest courses in the country. I didn't care about time. I cared about how they portrayed themselves in the race. I am pleased with what I saw from our men's and women's teams. I think we can now move forward with a tougher mindset into our next race."

th place, covering the six-kilometer course in 22:45.3
Keira Readnour was 117
th at 23:35 and
Isabella Gutierrez was third in the pack of OCU freshmen in 122
nd at 23:38.7

Florencia Cabrera rounded out the scoring in 123
