SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. – Twenty-fourth-ranked Oklahoma City placed second among 10 women's cross country teams at John Brown's Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday.

The Stars scored 38 points and finished behind only NCAA opponent Rogers State at 21. OCU finished ahead of six Sooner Athletic Conference rivals.

Kenzi Readnour led the Stars in third place, covering the six-kilometer course in 22:07.
Â
Three other OCU runners finished in the top 10.
Erika Pena was seventh at 22:29,
Keira Readnour placed eighth at 22:40 and
Isabella Gutierrez was ninth at 22:47.
Florencia Cabrera finished up the scoring in 18
th with a time of 23:46.

Isabelle Spiller took 19
th at 23:56 and
Makenzi DeHart was 26
th at 24:54. Also for the Stars, Madeline Adams finished in 26:01 for 39
th place and
Emily Schneider completed the course in 27:30 for 51
st.

"They executed perfectly," said OCU Head Coach
Andrew Leahey. "I gave them instructions on how to come through that first mile and after that, start hunting down those in front of us. The girls did that perfectly and the results show."
